The Common hornbeam or European hornbeam is by nature a forest tree, however cultivated as a park and avenue tree since ancient times. Height 15-20 m with a dense, wide crown and golden yellow autumn colouring. Ideal for training / pleaching. Often cultivated as a shaped tree (cubes, arches and pleached).
