The Tilia mongolica ‘Buda’ is a new variety of the Mongolian linden. This linden is exceptionally suitable as an avenue or street tree. The tree is also highly suitable as an espalier. It is a selection by the University of Budapest, Hungary, and Tree Nursery Udenhout recently took this ‘Linden of the future’ to the Netherlands. That way, this avenue tree nursery has added an exceptional specimen to its assortment. The Mongolian linden is a very healthy tree.

This linden is resistant to aphids, which means it is 100% drip free: no inconveniences caused by mildew, a sweet, sticky substance the aphids secrete. The Tilia mongolica ‘Buda’ is a very elegantly growing linden. This tree develops a pyramidal crown, with elegant, thin, drooping, brownish-red twigs. The leaves are coarsely serrated, which, combined with the healthy, dark-green colour, gives it an elegant appearance. In autumn, you can enjoy a nice, yellow autumn colour on top of all this.

The Tilia mongolica 'Buda' has many positive characteristics, is drip free and well worth planting!
